2021 Porsche 911 Turbo S Aerokit Reveal
A new 911 also means a new Turbo to look forward to. The 2021 Porsche 911 Turbo S is an extremely attractive and very powerful car. What could be better? Porsche recently revealed the details of the sport design package and it looks amazing! The new Porsche Aerokit comes optional on the 911 Turbo S. The exterior enhancements are modeled after both the previous generation 911 Turbo and the 911 Carrera’s optional Aerokit.
About the New Porsche Aerokit
The new Porsche Aerokit will be offered in two grades. One will be “regular” and one in “high-gloss black”. The 2021 Porsche 911 Turbo S comes with an aggressive front spoiler with dramatic side fins, body-color painted side skirts, and active rear spoiler that enhances the aerodynamic characteristics of the vehicle. This should build upon the 911 Turbo’s already impressive high-speed stability. Porsche also paints the lower rear fascia in the car’s body color. Buyers will be able to check a box to opt in to the Porsche Aerokit Sport Design Package.
About the 2021 Porsche 911 Turbo S
The 2021 Porsche 911 Turbo S pumps out 640 horsepower and 590 lb-ft of torque. The variable-turbine-geometry, or VTG, is 14 percent larger, giving 60 more horses and 37 more lb-ft. This model also features a newly designed air cooling system and turbochargers with electrically adjustable wastegates.
Pricing for the new Aerokit is still under wraps. The 911 Turbo S starts at $204,750. Expensive, right? But with that comes a 640-hp sports car that goes from 0 to 60 miles-per-hour in about 2.6 seconds. The 911 Turbo S also has a top speed of 205 miles-per-hour – and that’s without a sports package. If you want to estimate a cost based on the prior generation 911 Turbo and the optional exterior packages for the current generation 911 Carrera that puts the Porsche Aerokit at around $7,000. In the grand scheme of things that may not be such a big price to pay for the enhancements.
