This roof tent has an exclusive hard case established at the Weissach Development Center and co-designed by Studio F.A. Porsche in Zell am See. It is compatible with Porsche product trims including the 911, Macan, Cayenne, Panamera, and Taycan. The roof tent is quite spacious, with two side windows and a standard roof. Porsche also included a poly foam mattress, and the tent walls are made of a breathable cotton blend. The new Porsche roof tent is easy to set up while following a few steps. Additionally, while not using the tent, individuals can fold it into a roof-mounted enclosure smaller than a traditional rooftop cargo box.
Specific features of the roof tent
Like any other rooftop tent, the new Porsche roof tent looks swell with a foldable clamshell design to create a sleeping space of about 83 inches by 51 inches. It also has a foldable ladder to support the tent and two windows popping from both sides. Porsche also included an insect guard that protects individuals against mosquitoes and a black-out function that helps keep the light out. There is also a range of color options, including black/light grey and black/dark grey hard cases. All of the roof tents have a matte black Porsche logo. The company aims to include other features within the tent, including heated blankets, shoes, and bag organizers. Lastly, the tent measures 146 by 140 by 33 cm when folded and 258 by 257 by 118 cm when extended. Its approximate weight is 56 kg making it less bulky, and a car can travel at a 130 km/h speed with the installed roof tent.
